Wisconsin

The weather had been quite undecided on the two previous days and couldn’t really make up its mind after thundery showers during the night whether or not to let the sun out to play . But I wasn’t at all put out because I don’t have problems with cloudy skies and a few modest rain drops. Especially as a “tornado watch” had been announced for the area where I was staying. The word “tornado” definitely does not belong to my list of favourite English words, but I learnt later that these “tornado watches” don’t usually produce much more than a fairly temperamental thunder storm...

Today’s underlying motto was: Look out for lighthouses! Unfortunately, I had very limited success with this motto which was entirely due to my own stupidity. In the end it didn’t matter because Door County and especially Door Peninsula is so incredibly beautiful and most certainly one of the most attractive places on the shores of Lake Michigan...
